By plane Brussels National Airport (Zaventem) is linked to Brussels by a train service: 4 trains/hour between 5.30 a.m. and 12 p.m. during weekdays and between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. during week-ends (about 15'). Ask for a ticket to "Louvain-la-Neuve" (NOT Louvain or Leuven) and get off at the station Brussels Nord (a 12-15 min. ride). Take the Brussels-Namur-Luxemburg line (trains every half hour, week-end included), get off at Ottignies (about 35') and switch to a train to Louvain-la-Neuve (about 8'). Some trains go straight from Brussels to Louvain-la-Neuve. Timetables are available on the SNCB website.
Brussels South Charleroi Airport: To reach Louvain-la-Neuve, take a bus from the airport (Bus A) to reach the Charleroi South station (about 20'). There are 2 buses/hour during weekdays (..h53 and ..h23) and 1 bus/hour during week-ends (..h42). You can purchase a ticket "billet bulk" at the airport's bus stop (door n°2). This ticket is only available at the airport. The bus rides to the Charleroi-Sud railway station, from which you can catch a train for Louvain-la-Neuve (you will have to get off at Ottignies and switch to a train for Louvain-la-Neuve). By car Louvain-la-Neuve is located off highway E411. From Brussels or Namur, get off at EXIT 8a. You will arrive at a roundabout situated on the National 4.
